The Friends of Music at the University of Miami Frost School of Music invites art and music lovers to join us at the the Kelley Roy Gallery this Thursday September 24th for a Gallery Night Reception with guitarist Jesse Hale.
Main gallery exhibit of works by Sebastion Spreng who will be present.

Jesse Hale’s Biography
Jesse began playing the electric guitar at the age of 12. It was 8 years later that he began to discover that he had a deep love for the classical guitar. Jesse has received his Bachelor’s degree from Stetson University in Deland, FL. and then went on to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a full scholarship where he earned his Masters in music performance. For the past seven years he has been actively teaching and performing. Jesse taught orchestra at Oak Ridge Elementary in Tallahassee, FL. where he received the teacher of the year award. He is actively sought after as a private instructor wherever he has lived and is currently residing in Coral Gables, FL. as a doctoral student at the UM Frost School of Music. Jesse specifically moved here for the opportunity to further his skills under the direction of Dr. Rene Gonzalez.
Jesse has played for some of the worlds top performers/composers/teachers of our time such as Roland Dyens, Arnaud Dumond, Sergio and Odair Assad, Christopher Parkening, Fabio Zanon, Marco Pereira and Manuel Barrueco. In 2003 Jesse composed original music for a ballet that was directed and choreographed by the world renowned Alberto Alonso. Mr. Alonso has been credited with creating what is now known as the “Cuban” style of ballet. Jesse has appeared on various local radio and television stations and has played in several concert halls across the states.

Another great event for Friends of Music. Great job Adele for organizing this and underwriting, as well as all FOM members that attended, helped at the event, and assisted in spreading the word. Thank you Sebastian and Susan/Bill for hosting our group. Excellent gallery, outstanding artwork, and a good time had by all.
Keep up the good work!
